Review and Giveaway:: SkinnyJeans' SkinnyP and Team Colors

I cannot believe its already August and I have just about a month to get myself ready to go back to college in the fall. Ive stopped buying new summer clothes and am now focused on building my wardrobe for the fall and early winter. One staple in my closet that I was lacking was collection of jeans. It seems that my jeans last a few years so I dont buy them yearly. This year I definitely needed to throw out a few pairs and buy some new ones. 

When buying jeans I usually have quite the dilemma. Proportion wise I fit better in regular jeans but height wise I really need the petite denim. Its hard because I really do look good in my designer denim but I have to spend an extra $10-15 shortening each pair.

SkinnyJeans is a company that is dedicated to making Jeans that are flattering and slimming. There slogan is: "Jeans that make you look slimmer." Well Ive tried many jeans that promise results and havent liked them all but decided to give SkinnyJeans a try.

I ended up choosing a pair of the Skinny P Petite bootcut. I was hoping that they were going to fit a bit more like designer jeans a bit less like the petite jeans. At a price tag of $178 they certainly are marketed like a pair of designer jeans. The Skinny P Petite denim comes in inseams of 29-33". Designer jeans usually have an inseam of 34" for refrence. At my short height my inseam is 30" so I ordered that length.

I really like them! I think for a design aesthetic they look like a run of the mill kind of jean. They are dark wash- which I like- and are airbrushed just enough to elongate your legs. The back pockets are a little plain for my taste but I understand that the goal is to make it flattering and the plain pockets are definitely that. I always love when the stitching is a different color because it does make you look longer down the leg and these have a yellow color thread. I love the little hello! on the inside of the jeans its such a cute added detail.

As far as fit, they fit great! The SkinnyJean material is strong and really stretchy. They hug my curves in the right places and the length is perfect.

Its very important to find a good pair of jeans, especially when colored jeans are so fashionable this summer and for fall. Colored denim could either look fabulous or awful depending on the fit.
